Conference heads to Austin, TX, Nov. 6-9

Over 500 industry professionals will make their way to the Renaissance Arboretum in Austin, TX, for the third annual Hygienix event. Taking place Nov. 6-9, Hygienix 2017 will offer a full schedule of conference speakers, workshops, tabletop displays and networking opportunities. Day one of the event will feature an Absorbent Hygiene Products Workshop led by Carlos Richer, CEO/director of Richer Investment, and Eduardo Leal, managing director, Diaper Testing International, which will take place from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. A welcome reception will follow at 6:30 p.m. in the Glass Oaks Ballroom of the Renaissance Austin Hotel. Day two’s conference kicks off at 9 a.m. and will feature keynote speakers who will focus on brand disruption. Don Frey, chief innovation officer of The Honest Company, will talk about buying habits of millennial moms who seek safe, socially responsible, and sustainable products by relying on friends, bloggers, websites, and social media as information resources. Day two attendees will also hear from experts on consumer and institutional incontinence, including a presentation on Global Markets for Adult Incontinence Products: 2016 – 2030 from Janet O’Regan, director, Nonwovens Marketing, Cotton Incorporated. Industry professionals will see the Hygienix Innovation Award presentations on Tuesday at 5 p.m. The nominees include Alyne Protective Underwear, Huggies Little Snugglers Nano Preemie Diapers and Pampers Preemie Swaddlers Size P-3 Diapers. On day three, attendees will hear a panel on feminine hygiene disruptors featuring Rachel Braun Scherl, co-founder & principal, SPARK Solutions for Growth; Shama Amalean, chief operating officer, THINX; and Alyssa Dweck, MS, MD, FACOG, Obstetrics & Gynecology, CareMount Medical. Presentations on Performance & Economics of Thinner Diapers, Cutting Edge Approaches to Odor Control and Game Changers: Machine & Technology Developments will follow. Attendees will learn about new markets, technologies, and materials at tabletop displays on Tuesday at 5:40 p.m. and Wednesday at 5:10 p.m. Hygienix will conclude on Thursday, Nov. 9, with presentations on Retail & Demographic Groundswells and Material Science Developments in AHP, and the Hygienix Innovation Award winner will be announced at noon.
